O2 9/8/12 at a car show in Hubbardston, MA I saw a really nice car from a movie. It was the Delorean from Back To The Future! The sign next to it said that it was the car that was really in one of the movies. It had a ground clearance of about 1 inch and all of the things on the back from the movie. It seemed to be getting the most attention of all the cars in the car show.

On 7/13/12 in Boston, MA and on 8/29/12 in Sturbridge, MA, I saw a car that I didn't think was even in production yet. It was a Chevy Volt. Chevy Volts are gasoline-electric hybrids and they are Chevy's answer to the Toyota Prius.
On 9/1/12 in Athol, MA, I saw a light blue and cream colored ragtop Ford roadster driving down the road with the top down. It had a closed hood but I know it had a V8 engine because there were four exhaust pipes and one collector pipe running down each side. I think that it looked really neat.

On 7/22/12 in Barre, MA, I saw one of the weirdest cars ever. Really, It wasn't really a car but I am not sure what else it would be. It was basically a cross between a dune buggy, an ATV, and a golf cart. It was painted flat tan and was driving down the road. It had no roof. I think it was going about thirty miles per hour. The fenders were very indistinct. Oh, and one more thing. It had an ATV in the the little hollow space behind where the driver was sitting.
On 7/22/12 in Athol, MA, I saw a silver car parked in someone's law. But it wasn't just any silver car - it was a silver AC Cobra 427 with light grey racing stripes. It was missing it's bumpers and a few other parts, which leads me to believe that someone was restoring it. That also makes me think that it was an original Cobra, because I don't think that a replica would have been around long enough for it to need restoring. A few miles down the road from there, still in  Athol, I saw a Ford Model T roadster. It was black and had no rear fenders. It had grey trim and lots of chrome. I think that Model Ts make very good hot rods, especially in roadster form. Then I saw that it was leading a whole herd of cars. There was a 1967 Chevy Camaro hardtop. I like the 1967 hardtops but not the ragtops. I also think that the mid 70s Camaros are very ugly and I think the new ones are too but the 1967 hardtops are nice, I think.

On 7/21/12 across the road from the Hannaford in North Brookfield, MA at the bottom or a little hill next to a brick building I saw a green Ford Model T truck from the 1920s. The green Ford Model T truck from the 1920s that I saw at the 2012 Old Sturbridge Village car show. Or at least I think that it was the same one. I think it was the same one because the body looks exactly the same and the owner of it at the car show said that he lived in North Brookfield. And I think that the truck lived at that brick building because when I drove by there two days later the truck was still there. I am going to look for it there when I drive by other times.

On 7/21/12 a few hundred feet from Tip Top Market in Brookfield, MA driving down the road I saw one of the most rare cars ever. In the whole world. Any Guesses? Anyone? It was a orange 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray hardtop. That was the one that had a split rear window. It was the first production stingray and it was the only year that had the split rear window. It could go from 0-60 MPH in 5.4 seconds nad it had a top speed of 152 MPH. It is one of my favorite Corvettes ever.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

On 6/11/12 I went to a car show at Klems in Spencer, MA. It was supposed to be 1950s cars but there were lots of other ones. One of my favorites was a red 1975 Corvette Stingray. It had a T-top roof and a huge engine. There was hardly any trunk space because there was a big hollow section under the tail. It was for sale. There was also a black 1964 Corvette Sting Ray. There was a bright yellow heavily customized Ford Model T. It had a black ragtop. The back wheels were four times as wide as the front ones, which were as big as normal modern car tires. It had a big V8 engine and had twin four-in-one collector pipes that ran on the sides below the doors and let the exhaust right before the rear tires. it had two seats. I will try to post my pictures from that car show soon.

Monday, July 9, 2012

On 7/6/12 in Rutland, MA, I saw a AC Cobra 427 . I LOVE Cobras. They were made when a car company called AC teamed up with Carroll Shelby, a race car driver from Texas. Ford supplied the engine because GM didn't want to help the development of a car that could compete with the Corvette. The 427 was the most powerful original one. The one I saw was green and had a small roll cage over the driver seat.
On 7/6/12 in Templeton, MA by the side of the road I saw a Corvette Stingray three. It was purple. Here is a link to an article about it: 1992 Stingray III I think that the Stingray III is a very cool car. There aren't many cars that can go 225 mph, and even fewer ones that are from before the year 2000.
On 7/6/12 in Winchendon, NH, I saw a VW Microbus on the side of the road. I think it was a T1 Microbus camper. It had a two tone paint job - orange and cream colored. The top part was orange and the bottom was cream colored. I thought it was pretty neat. It was in very good condition but it didn't have any hubcaps.  I've heard that the engines in them are very bad, however. I've heard that they produce 40 horsepower and they are water cooled and they broke down a lot.

Saturday, July 7, 2012

On 7/6/12 in Jaffrey, NH, I saw a white 1961 Ford Falcon driving down the road. I like the Falcon a lot, even thought many car magazines hated it. they said that Ford was bringing back the Tin Lizzie (Model T) and that it would be even more of a flop than the Edsel, which was produced for under 3 years and lost Ford $350 million. The Falcon turned out to be a huge success, however. It came with a V6 or V8 engine and was produced for ten years.
On 7/6/12 in Marlow, NH parked by the side of the road in a parkinglot was a black Ford Model T truck from the 1920s. It had a hardtop and instead of a pickup truck bed it had a wooden delivery back. Trucks from that early are not very common now and that was the only delivery truck from around then that I've ever seen except for in a car museum. I am not sure what the parkinglot that it was in was for. There was red  printing on the wooden delivery back of the truck but I did not get to read what it said.
On 7/6/12 in Rindge, NH, I saw a what looked like a 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V. I think that cars Continentals from around then make amazing lowriders, but this car was the normal height off the ground. I think cars from around then do not usually look very good unless they are somehow customized. I think that they are too boxy. I think my favorite Lincoln Continentals are the 1956 Mark IIs.
On 7/6/12 in Rindge, NH, I saw a new Corvette. It was blue.

Friday, July 6, 2012

On 7/6/12 in Winchendon, MA, parked by the side of the road I saw a maroon-ish colored 1971 Corvette Stingray. I like Corvette Stingrays a lot. Or at least I like the old ones. GM is designing a new Corvette Stingray Prototype, which I do not like at all. This is the sight where I learned about the new one: 2009 Corvette Stingray Concept . Behind the Corvette there was a original Ford Thunderbird from 1955. It was bright red.
On 7/6/12 in Baldwinville, MA, I saw a bright red Ford Galaxy 500 with a landau roof. It was for sale. Many Ford Galaxies  from that time had a hardtop roof that mechanically folded down, which was impressive. Even more impressive was the fact that it was very reliable.
On 7/6/12 in Hubbardston, MA, I saw bright banana yellow Chevy El Camino. It was a normal edition - not SS (Which stands for Super Sport). It was driving down a pretty main road. I like El Camino Super Sports best because the front ends look like the front ends of muscle cars. Right after it was a Ford Thunderbird Squarebird. I do not like Thunderbirds that much and Squarebirds are my least favorite of any Thunderbirds.                                                            Also, this Thunderbird was a very ugly shade of maroon.

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

ON 7/3/12 in the North Brookfield, MA Hannaford I saw the same light blue Buick 1965 Riviera GS. I noticed that the rear wheels had shiny chrome spokes but the front ones were modern normal car wheels with no hubcaps. I also noticed that more bits of the paint were different colors. I also noticed that the non original bits of paint were different colors than each other.

Monday, July 2, 2012

On 7/2/12 some were in Hardwick, MA, I saw a dark red Ford pickup truck. I think that it was a Model A Pickup from the 1930s. It looked very well restored and everything was shiny, including the nonexistent chrome. It was very similar to one that I saw at the Old Sturbridge Village car show this year except the one there was dark green.
On 7/2/12 in a parking lot across the street from the Hardwick Farmers' Co-op in Hardwick, MA, Next to a Dodge Ram 1500 that was for sale, there was a sky blue Oldsmobile 442 with two white stripes running down the hood. It looked like it was a 1969 W30 Coupe. I am not sure if it was for sale or not. It didn't have the twin hood scoops that 442s from around then had-it didn't have any hood scoops at all, for that matter. My opinion of the Oldsmobile 442 is listed in the precious posting.

Saturday, June 30, 2012

On 6/30/12 Somewhere in North Brookfield, MA, I saw a Oldsmobile 442. I think that it was from 1970. It was a hardtop. I think that Oldsmobile 442s were some of the nicer muscle cars. It had two white stripes running forwards down the hood. I do not remember what color it was. That's because I was paying attention to something even more interesting about the car. It had no hood! and it was driving down the road! The mounts where the hood would have been were up like the hood had been up and then it just fell off. The road that it was driving on was a pretty main road too. It was going about forty miles per hour. The first four in the name stands for a four speed transmission. The second four stands for a four barrel carburetor. I do not know what the last two stands for.

Monday, June 25, 2012

On 6/25/12 in the North Brookfield, MA Hannaford parking lot I saw a light blue Buick Riviera. I think it was a 1965 Riviera GS. It looked like it had been repainted in a bunch of spots with a color that was a tiny bit lighter than the original coat. It looked really neat. I think it is one of the best-looking Rivieras that I have ever seen. I think that it looks way better than the "boat-tail" ones.

Monday, June 18, 2012

Pulling out of the parking lot of that same flea market I saw what I think is one of the best sightings ever recorded on this blog. Ever. It was a pinkish 1959 Cadillac Eldorado. It was a bit rusty in some places and the mounds of chrome were a bit pitted but it was exactly matched the pictures in my car book. It leaned a bit to the right. I think either there were more people on that side of the suspension was a bit broken. The fins were even more dramatic than the pictures in car books could show. The sets of red tail lights on each fin  were used as blinkers and they worked in pairs. The car had trouble turning on some of the switchbacks in the road because it was twenty feet long. That's about two smart cars long. I think that they were one of the best Cadillacs of the fifties. The tail lights were very bright. It is one of my three favorite fifties production cars.
Some were in Hubbardston, MA, I saw what I think is a old abandoned service station or gas station. There were a lot of cars from the early forties in front of it. All of them except one were totally rusted out. The not totally rusty one was white and had lots of spots of rust on it. One of the totally rusty ones was missing the whole engine compartment and hood and all of the front wheels. It looked like it had been cut off and where it had been cut off was also very rusty. I am sorry that I can't offer any reference to what kinds they were. I would like to learn more about them and the building that they were in front of. I have no idea why someone would have just left the cars there to rust.
In the parking lot of a flea market in Hubbardston, MA, I saw a red sixties Ford with a black shaker hood scoop. The car was a little boxy and had a muscle car/sixties sedan look to it. I couldn't recognize the model. It was pretty neat. It was for sale. I am not sure why it wasn't in the flea market if it was for sale but there is probably some reason. In that same parking lot I saw what I think is a Oldsmobile 442. It was flat grey-like the color of primer and it was not for sale.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

On 6/12/12 in a car mechanic garage I saw what looked like a 1949 Cadillac Series 62. The 1949 Series 62 was the first car to have high compression V8 engine and was also the first car to have tail fins. Bill Mitchell designed the tail fins. He got the idea from a airplane. The car I saw was in very good condition. On the other side of the street I saw a cream colored early '60s Chrysler. The headlights were in the classic '60s pattern with one upright oval on each side of the car and with two headlights in each of them but on this one the ovals were tilted so the tops were pointed outwards.
On 6/12/12 I saw a totally rusted-out forties tow truck outside of a car garage. I think for it to even be driveable it would take years of restoration. Next door was a house with a bunch of '90s Pontiacs. Most of them were GTOs and Trans Ams. The Trans Am lineup is the Firebird lineup but with a different name. The 1973 or 1974 Firebird was the last of the muscle cars. All of the cars in the driveway were silver.
On 6/12/12 outside what I think is a custom garage with a hard-to-pronounce name I saw a whole lot of cars from the '60s or the '70s. Most of them were muscle cars but two or three of them were sixties sedans. I liked the muscle cars best, mostly because I don't like sixties sedans that much except for the Chevy Impala. One of the muscle cars was a Ford Mustang Mach I. That is one of my favorite Mustangs except for the fastbacks and Shelbys.
Today I saw a black car parked on the side of Rt. 122 in Worchester, MA. It looked like it was from the '40s. It said Packard on the back and it had lots of crome on the bumpers. I think that it was heavily restored. I also saw it yesterday in the same spot. It might belong to one of the people who live in the houses along that street.
On 6/12/12 outside a car garage that said Custom Services Garage on it I saw a blue Ford Mustang that looked like it was from the 1965 or 1966. It was in very good condition and it had no rust on it. It did not have a fastback roof line. I liked it a lot, even though Mustangs are not my favorite kind of car.
I am sorry that I couldn't post anything new for a while but the computer wouldn't let me sign in. During the time that I didn't  write anything I saw many cool cars. There was a 1978 Corvette Grand Prix Edition that was often parked in a drive way somewhere in Brookfield, MA or North Brookfield, MA. I think that they are one of the best Corvettes ever, along with the Snakeskinner Corvette, the 1969 Corvette Stingray, and the Corvette CREV I. I also saw one driving out of a Walmart parking lot in Ware, MA. I also saw a 1960 Ford Thunderbird Squarebird pulled over facing south on a downhill stretch of Rt. 89 near Ithaca, NY. I do not like Squarebirds that much, even for Thunderbirds, which I do not like very much. I like the first Thunderbirds with the porthole side rear window and two seats best. I heard that they could go 125 miles per hour, but I think that the Squarebirds were much slower. I also saw, pulling into a driveway in Hardwick, MA, a large greenish blue truck. I think it was from between 1945 and 1967. I did not get a very good view of it because I was about 100 meters away from it, but it looked like it had been either been taken very good care of or been very nicely restored.

Sunday, April 8, 2012

On 4/7/12 on Rt. 122 in Paxton, MA, I saw a VERY cool car. I didn't like the color so much-it was pinkish purpley but it was a VERY neat car design. The body was mostly like a mustang GT Fastback but on either side of the hood there was a little raised bit. It was parked in a driveway about fifty feet from Paxton Pizza. I liked it a lot. I wish that I could have came closer to it and seen what company made it. I hope that I can see it again soon and get a closer view of it. I wish they made sports cars today with body designs more like that one.

Monday, March 26, 2012

On 3/23/12 in Ware, MA, I saw what looked like a Chevy Chevelle SS. It was pink-ish red. It had a big hood scoop on it. The scoop looked like a flat rectangular prism with a oval tube sticking out the front. I liked it a lot, except for the color. In the same parking lot I saw what looked like a '90s Pontiac Trans Am. It was white.
On 3/23/12 in Ware, MA, I saw a building with a glass front. It looked like a store except for what was inside of it. It had about 5 old cars. Four of them were from the '10s but the other one was a red '50s Corvette. It was a convertible. There was a for rent sign out side of the building. I'm not sure if that meant if the building was for rent or the cars were. I think that it was the building.
On 3/23/12 in Sturbridge, MA I saw a silver Corvette. I think that it was a new-ish Z06. I think that those can go 195 mph. They are one of my top ten favorite Corvettes. My favorite Corvette ever is the 1978 Corvette.
On 3/23/12 on Rt. 20 in Charlton, MA I saw a old ('50s) Dodge delivery van. It was turquoise and cream colored. I am really don't know how old it was but a think it is from the fiftys because of the body styling.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

It's spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And one of my favorite parts of spring is that people start taking out their cool cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far I have seen... A green truck that had a chrome bumper and lots of other chrome parts on the front end.It was somewhere in a suburban neighborhood. It looked like a Ford Million Dollar Cab truck. It had the General Motors emblem on the grill. I liked it a lot. Speaking of trucks, on the hill behind the Hitchcock Free Academy I saw a old totally rusted out Ford truck. Well, I think that it was a Ford but I couldn't come close enough to tell. It was so rusty that I probably wouldn't be able to tell even if I could get closer. I've also seen a LOT of Corvettes. All of them were new-ish. I think that they were probably from between 2000 and 2008.

One week ago we went on vacation!  First we went to C and S1’s wedding!  The wedding was kind of boring, but the after wedding was great!  Instead of having a wedding cake there were… assorted pies, and three cakes!  I only had a slice of one of the cakes.  On the outside it looked like a huge cake with white frosting but on the inside, on the bottom there was a chocolate cake, on the top a chocolate, and in the middle vanilla!  Mom said the cheesecake was the best she ever had!
When we got to our hotel we got a place almost as big as a house!  Me, ChargerIII, G, and S2 got to sleep in the loft!  We dropped things from the loft!  G intentionally threw one of his socks on the fan!  We dropped pillows from the loft, and O made beds out of them!  We also had dogs in the loft, we dropped them too!  We laughed and laughed!
The next morning they had a huge breakfast buffet!  I got chocolate chips, whipped cream, a waffle, orange juice, and hot cocoa.
It was a long drive to get up to the ski place we were going to!  When we got there we put on our skies, and started skiing!  Before we left one spot, G went off alone, and got lost!  We had to organize a whole search party!  When S2 finally found him, it turned out he was on a loop!
The End

Last week I started to build a Lego tower!  The tower has a spiral staircase!  It is three ¼ inches tall!  My Lego guy, Troy, owns the tower.  The tower has a secret door on the outside, but when part of the stairway fell down and I put back in the stairs it got blocked.  It is not finished.  As well as my tower, there is a Lego complex building that ChargerIII and I are building.  When I’m done building my tower I will put it on the complex!

On 3/11/12 on I-91 just after coming out of New Hampshire in MA I saw a black Chevy Corvette. I think that it was a Z-06. I think that it had a hardtop. I think that that kind of Corvette can go 195 miles per hour. I like them a lot. I think that they are my third favorite kind of Corvette.

Thursday, March 8, 2012

On 3/8/12 somewhere in Worcester, MA, I saw a Chevy Impala. I couldn't tell what color it was because it was dark out. I especially like the Impalas with the curving outwards tail fins. It was in a parking lot on a hill. I liked it a lot. I don't like the new Impalas very much at all.

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

On3/7/12 on Brookfield Rd. in Brimfield, MA, I what looked like a '70s Corvette Stingray. Those are just about my favorite Corvettes ever. I think that they should have kept that body design for longer. It was dark red. I don't like the color very much. I have heard that those could go about 150 mph.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

On 3/2/12 on Rt. 31 in Fichburg, MA, I saw a old ('30s or '40s) Ford truck in a driveway. It was only a little rusty. It was painted black. I think that it would look neat souped up like a hot rod.
On 3/2/12 on Rt. 31 in Fitchburg, MA, I saw a light green car that looked like it was from the '60s. I think that it is made by Dodge, Buick, or Ford. Or it might have been a Chevy Chevelle. It was pretty boxy. I wish that I got a better look at it. I have never seen one of those in that color. I don't know if it was in driveable condition. I like the cars from that era. I don't think that it was very powerful or fast.
On 3/2/12 on Rt. 31 in Fitchburg, MA, I saw an electric blue Mitsubishi. It had a huge spoiler. It looked like the spoiler was after make. It was in a driveway. I think that is is very custemized. I am not sure what model it is.
On 3/2/12, just after turning off Rt. 122A on Glenwood Rd. in Rutland, MA, I saw a black Chevy Monte Carlo. It had stripes on the sides..They are one of the few car models used in stock car racing. They are my favorite stock car cars. They also use Ford Tauruses, Pontiac Grand Prixes, and Dodge Interpids.

Saturday, March 3, 2012

Wednesday I went to Cedarbrook!  That is a class I go to.  Afterward we had a big snow-ball fight!  Part way through the game, I made a big snow ball and some little snow balls.  I gave then to my mom so she could keep them safe.  After awhile B came along and tried to take it!  Mom called me and I came and took it.  That day was really fun!

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

Five days ago we went to the horse caves!  They weren’t actually caves!  They were really overhanging rocks.  The horse caves were on top of a hill.  Looking down it was soooo misty that it seemed like we had found the edge of the earth!  Most of the time it was raining.  It was too rainy to have the snacks on the hike so we had them in the car.

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

On 2/27/12 on Interstate 93 North near Concord, NH, Matt saw a Porsche Carrera 4S.It was only a few years old. It had a ski rack on it's roof! I am surprised that it even fits a roof rack on it, seeing that they costs $80,000 dollars and it has amazing acceleration (0-60mph in less than five seconds).

Friday, February 24, 2012

Tuesday night we went to a pancake dinner at church!  It had… rolls and bagels, soup, pancakes, waffles, bacon, M&Ms, and more!  After dinner Miss V, my Sunday school teacher, took us upstairs to do activities.  The crafts were, making crosses and butterflies.  At the end all the kids did a pancake race.  We used real pancakes!  It was really fun!
On 2/24/12 on Rt. 9 in Ware, MA, I saw a parking lot full of cool cars. There was a Chevy Chevelle SS, a Chevy Impala, a Ford Mustang Mach 1 or a Mustang Boss, and a lot of other cool cars from around the times that those cars were made. Some of the other cars were missing their engine compartments. A lot of the cars (not the Mustangs, the Chevelle, or the Impala) were missing their tires too.
On 2/24/12 in a driveway on Rt. 9 in Ware, MA, I saw a car with the front of a '60s Dodge sedan and the back of a Ford 1916 Docter's coupe. It was very rusty and in bad condition. It's tires were missing and it was missing the right rear fender. I have never seen a car like it before. I think it looked like a 1941 Willys.

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

A few days ago Grandma and Grandpa came!  But after one or two days we all got a bit restless.  Then we remembered the car puzzle that my cousin J gave my brother ChargerIII!  We brought it down and worked on it some more.  After we worked on it for awhile me and ChargerIII started to get bored, but everybody else said they wouldn’t stop until the puzzle was done!  When the puzzle finally was done my uncle P arrived!  We decided to have a walk.  We found some laundry baskets.  Mom said they were to measure how many sticks and leaves fall from the trees.  P said that he really wanted to throw a cell phone in there!
On 2/22/2012 I saw what looked like a Dodge Charger R/T or an old ('60s) Chevy Camero on route 31 in Holden, MA. I don't like old Cameros that much because other cars of that time are faster and crank out more horsepower. I am surprised that they were so popular. I don't know how much they cost - other models might have been cheaper. I like most Chargers and the R/T is no exception. I don't like the new Chargers as much, though.

Posted by Picasa
This is a DeLorean that I saw at a car museum in Norwich, New York. I think that it is from the 1980s. I read that it
cost about $20,000 new. I think that the doors are neat.

Welcome to Carwatcher.
I will write about interesting cars that I have seen. If you have information about the cars that I mention, you can leave it as a comment. If you have seen any neat cars, you can write about them as a comment. Please include the date and about where it was.
